New Horizons Program
The CLO (Civic Light Opera) Academy & The Autism Center of Pittsburgh will once again team up to bring Drama Academy to children with autism in the Pittsburgh area.
At Pittsburgh CLO & The Autism Center of Pittsburgh we believe in kids! We celebrate their individuality, encourage their dreams and help develop their abilities. This year we are thrilled to offer a program specifically designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Through a musical theater-based curriculum, students will be introduced to role-playing, rhythm/music exercises and acting games.
This innovative program provides a safe and fun environment that encourages students to express their emotions, develop better social skills and foster the development of peer relationships. The class will be led by Christopher Josephs, an Acting Teacher and former Therapeutic Support Specialist, and will focus on students individual needs and development.
