The Autism Center of Pittsburgh (ACOP) provides family-based pediatric speech/language, occupational, and physical therapy using a unique partnership between child, parent, and therapist. Our staff provides comprehensive services to the pediatric population within our clinic setting, as well as the home setting for early intervention candidates: birth to three.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Speech Language Pathologist

Must have a master’s level degree, have experience with family education, oral motor intervention experience, child development knowledge, and sensory integration awareness. Services and intervention strategies are to be focused on the family and routine based activities for both home community settings.

Occupational Therapist

Must have a master’s level degree, have experience with family education, oral motor, child development, knowledge about sensory integration, and ability to find creative ways to increase a child’s independence with activities of daily living and fine motor skills. Services and intervention strategies are to be focused on the family and routine based activities for both home community settings.

Physical Therapist

Must have a master’s level degree, have experience with family education, adaptive equipment and resources for families, child development knowledge, and awareness of sensory integration. Services and intervention strategies are to be focused on the family and routine based activities for both home community settings.
