Please welcome the Autism Center of Pittsburgh’s
new Director and President of the Board,
Dr. John Carosso!!!
Dear Subscribers:
Please allow me this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Dr. John Carosso, Licensed Child Psychologist, and I’ve had the pleasure of being associated with ACP, and working with Cindy Waeltermann, for many years. Cindy has been recently been hinting about an upcoming change at ACP, and it’s time to announce more specifics about this transition. I am humbled and thrilled to begin directing the Autism Center of Pittsburgh, and I look forward to working with each of you in meeting ACP’s mission; that of serving children with autism and their families.
I have over two decades of experience in working with families and providing support and treatment for children on the spectrum. I have a passion for this type of service such that I jumped at the opportunity to lead here at the Autism Center of Pittsburgh. I can think of no better place to serve, and to work with a top-notch team. Feel free to review my bio on the website.
Fortunately, Cindy will stay on the Board, and continue overseeing many facets of ACP, and Becca and Kris will still be taking parent calls, overseeing the store, Judith McKnight-Krynski will continue to conduct evaluations as well. The Autism Center of Pittsburgh’s Board of Directors has undergone some changes, and you can check-out the new members on the website. The Board members consist of parents of children with autism, seasoned professional in various fields, and behavioral health professionals. We’ll be updating bios in the days to come.
In the months ahead we’ll be taking on new challenges, growing our fundraising, enhancing the on-line store, and broadening our services for children and families. We look forward to your support, feedback, ideas, and prayers. This venture does not work without you. Thank you again for your support of ACP through the years, and continuing to help us in our mission. God bless you and your families.
John Carosso
