Applying for Medical Assistance/ACCESS

**If you are told that you cannot get an ACCESS Card, or have to wait longer than 4 weeks, PLEASE CALL US.  We will assist you in pushing it through so your child can get the help he or she needs!** An ACCESS card is necessary for you to receive wraparound services through the State of Pennsylvania's Department of Public Welfare for your child. What to expect from your initial psychological evaluation at the Autism Center of Pittsburgh

When you make an appointment for an evaluation at the Autism Center of Pittsburgh, your Psychologist or Psychiatrist will meet with you for approximately one hour. If your child is 3 or under, and you suspect a developmental delay or autism, you can call the Birth to Three program in your area. In Allegheny County, the Alliance for Infants and Toddlers can be reached at (412) 885-6000.
